Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Multiple other Charges

Ramon Amaury Rodriquez RamosOn February 8, 2014, deputies responded to 207 Pamela Drive in San Mateo in reference to someone dialing 911. Communications officers heard a female screaming, “Get out of my house”.

When deputies arrived at the residence they heard a female screaming for help. Deputies entered the residence to find a 38 year-old female lying on the bed with 41 year old Ramon Amaury Rodriquez Ramos straddling her with his hands clenched around her throat. The females face was dark and discolored indicating that she was having difficulty breathing. At the sight of law enforcement Rodriguez Ramos dismounted the victim and was detained.

Deputies spoke with the victim who declined medical treatment. She informed deputies that Rodriguez Ramos had bonded out of Jail the previous Wednesday (2/5/14) for also battering her. The victim reported that Rodriguez Ramos forced his way into her residence and held her against her will for approximately 3 hours. The victim tried to leave several times, but Rodriguez Ramos grab her and drag her back inside the residence. During the altercation Rodriguez Ramos struck the victim several times and also used a pair of scissors to cut a large portionof the victim’s hair.

Ramon Amaury Rodriguez Ramos, was arrested on the following charges:

  • Kidnapping/False Imprisonment
  • Misdemeanor Domestic Battery
  • Felony Domestic Battery by Strangulation
  • Obstructing Justice
  • Violation of Pretrial Release

He is currently being held in the Putnam County Jail without the benefit of a bond
